Clan EPIC Reaches Semi-Finals Bracket for GameReplays.org Heroes Of Newerth Tournament

    E-mail Print PDF

Clan EPIC reached the Semi-Finals bracket for the GameReplays.org Heroes of Newerth Tournament.

With 16 teams participating, EPIC successfully fought its way through the single elimination tournament until rival team Chinese Gold Farmers (CGF) used excellent map control and warding skills to offset a lackluster performance by CGF in the early game. CGF, however, went on to lose the finals match against Team fiVe in a hotly contested match.

Game One saw EPIC pitted against [D0G].  EPIC's lineup featured Defiler (Elegy), Hellbringer (Kogu), Pollywog Priest (Razor), Accursed (Bladed), and Madman (Pilbots). D0G attempted to fend off the pushing power of EPIC, but the game ended after several team fights went in favor to EPIC. The game lasted approximately twenty-five minutes.

Game Two was forfeit by the opposing team, allowing EPIC to play Chinese Gold Farmers in the Semi-Finals. Game Two saw a similar lineup by EPIC as per Game One and EPIC's better laning skills allowed the clan to take early control of the match. However, CGF pulled through and utilized extremely good teamwork to eventually force EPIC to turtle and attempt to fend off the opposing team, which relied on [CGF]Dewit to carry with Madman, a strategy that unfortunately resulted in EPIC's defeat after the middle barracks went down.
